Q. What is the minimum deposit for a home loan?

A. Generally, you will require a minimum of 10% of the purchase price of the property. In some cases, it may be lower and may affect your choice of lenders, and can also depend on the amount you’re borrowing and the type of loan.

Q. Do I need a good credit rating to get a mortgage?

A. Not necessarily, but it will certainly help. However, be aware that the lower your score, the higher your likeliness of being declined, and the choice of lenders may be limited.
